Podcast Book Club - "Richard's Famous Food Podcast"

First of all, what is this event? It's like a book club, but for podcasts. Every month, we choose a different show, listen to it independently, then come together to talk about it. It's a ton of fun, I promise.

This month we're listening to Richard's Famous Food Podcast, "a slightly absurd, aurally adventuresome, quasi-journalistic podcast about food, for people who eat, gustatorily figureheaded by food writer, filmmaker, and audio impresario Richard Parks III."

After hearing about RFFP a few weeks ago, I've now listened to a few episodes, and I think it's one of the most innovative sounding podcasts I've ever heard. I've come to think of Richard's whizbang approach to sound design as something of an antidote to the monotonous, super-serious sound that dominates the journalistic corners of podcast world.

There are only eight episodes available, and they're all pretty short. How about we try to listen to all of them?

Possible discussion questions: Is this a good format for delivering real information? What purpose does this show serve? Soundboards: love 'em or leave 'em? Can funniness and sound mix?
