Improv for Podcasters: Storytelling and Interviewing

In this 90-minute workshop, you'll learn how to listen and respond in-the-moment, how to allow more creative and compelling podcast content, how to truly collaborate with your co-hosts and guests, how to detach from expected outcomes, and how to conduct a completely engaging interview. This interactive workshop features exercises from improvisational performance facilitated by Matt Need, a lifelong devotee of the art of improvisation. This workshop is ideal for podcast hosts & producers who would like to become more self-aware in their work and learn proven methods for creating compelling content through collaboration and connection.

About Matt Need

Matt is a student, teacher, and performer of improvisation with more than 30 years experience. He studied with improv guru Del Close and has been applying improvisational techniques to his life and experiences ever since. He produced and co-hosted The Uncle Nasty Show on KBPI radio in Denver for 8 years, interviewing comedians, musicians, doctors, dancers, politicians, and tons of other guests with varied experiences. Matt has also been a podcast host and producer (The Uncle Nasty Show, Unfiltered and Unaffected), a live auctioneer, a standup comedian a professional emcee, and a tour manager (Big Head Todd and the Monsters, Creedence, The Expendables). Matt continues to study human communication and interaction, assisting others in sharpening their skills and achieving their goals.
