Meet the House of Pod Team!


Staff

   Catherine de Medici Jaffee  (@cat_jaffee) is a producer and founder of House of Pod. She spent many years as a National Geographic Explorer on the Turkish/Armenian/Georgian/Azerbaijani borders, she’s produced and consulted for Radiotopia and Gimlet, and she loves giving people chicken eggs.

  Rachel Cleaves Dahlke  is House of Pod's Business and Operations Manager. She is the founder and former Executive Director of Westwood Unidos, a grassroots community based organization that trains resident activists creating thriving communities. She loves travel and the outdoors, inspired by growing up in Peru, Panama, and Mexico.

  Paul Karolyi  (@paulkarolyi) is House of Pod’s community manager and a staff producer. He is also the founder and host of the award-winning podcast   Changing Denver   and a former starting point guard for the Washington Generals.

  Matthew Simonson  (@mjsimonson) is the Audio Manager and a Producer at House of Pod.  He is a Transom graduate, a freelance radio producer, an audio engineer, and a musician. He is currently working on his own podcast project,   The Found Sound  .  Matthew was one of our two Spring 2018 Residents.

  Lucy Soucek  (@lesoucek) is House of Pod's production intern. She is a '18 graduate from Colby College with a double major in Religious Studies and Theater & Dance. She's also interning with the KGNU community radio station in Boulder, CO, and with the Ministry of Ideas podcast, an initiative of the Religious Literacy Project at Harvard Divinity School. She loves scones, especially ones with pecans.

She is the creator and producer of the  That's What She Did Podcast , a podcast about the women leaders, innovators and rebels from around that world that you've probably never heard of.   Berry , lover of podcasts, is the #1 fan of  The Read , a passion that turned into   Podcasts in Color  . Born and raised in Denver, CO, where she currently resides, podcasts are Berry's link to the outside world. Marketing podcasts is a passion and she is always looking for creative ways to do it.   Joy Parrish  is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and works as a Behavioral Health manager for Kaiser Permanente Colorado with over 20 years of experience working in mental health. Joy is also a podcaster with over 80,000 downloads per month for her co-hosted show  Girls Gone WOD Podcast . Joy has won four Regional Emmy Awards for her public service announcements produced with at-risk youth, a series called  Uninterrupted . Joy is passionate about how podcasting and audio media can help seniors and youth feel more connected by giving them a space to have their voices be heard. She is excited to help Amped’s programming bridge the digital divide for underrepresented populations.
